North Woods Family Trail Ride Day

(Queens, NY) Trips for Kids Metro New York  (TFK) is hosting a family mountain biking day in Cunningham Park’s North Woods Mountain Biking Trail on Saturday, April 27th. TFK, Peak Mountain Bikes and Bicycle Planet will supply bikes to offer the community a new experience and adventure for the family.  We are creating this event to encourage family outings and mountain biking in New York City.
“We want to share our sport with the Queens community.  There is an amazing park in their back yard, and we want them to know Trips for Kids is there to help them explore it.  ” Said AndrĂ©e Sanders, Executive Director of TFK.
“Kids from all over the New York city area have a unique opportunity to ride with experienced riders and learn from the best.  Tom Oakes, a pro-level mountain biker with   years of experience racing, will be here to teach advanced trail riding and trail tricks, while other experienced riders will work with beginners.  Tom and crew are coming out to support TFK and ride with the kids and their families, giving them a ride to remember.”

Queens resident, Kitty Azhar, said, ”I have lived in the Cunningham Park area my whole life and I have never experienced the park the way I did with Trips for Kids. My family and I are novice bikers and look forward to the next opportunity to get my boys out there, practically in my backyard, teaching them to ride the awesome trails in our park. I am spreading the word to students from our local schools as well as parents about this rich resource we have in our community, thanks Trips for Kids.”
